October Soil and Seeds!

*Learn three different types of soil preparation. Experience the differences amongst sheet mulching, double digging, and simple soil amending. We’ll conduct a semi-scientific experiment over the course of the series to see which methods each of us prefer and which the plants prefer.
*Propagate winter vegetables from seed. Which vegetables do we direct sow (plant in the garden straight from seed) and which do we start in a more controlled environment (like a green house.) This workshop will be longer than the others and you will get dirty. Please bring a lunch, water, gloves, and wear clothes and shoes appropriate for digging.
